Simple expressions are for example: \u201cHi how are you?\u201d (Hola, c\u00f3mo est\u00e1s?), or \u201cHelp me please!\u201d (Ay\u00fadame por favor) and words that you can combine with another to make a really powerful sentence, for example: \u201cI want\u201d (Yo quiero), or \u00a0\u201cI like\u201d (Me gusta\u2026), can be really helpful if you plan to travel to a native Spanish speaking country. Moreover, maybe why not being able to interact with some of your Spanish\u00a0speaker\u2019s friends that have difficulty to speak English or that are learning English.<\/p>\n

Last time when I travel to Colombia with our kids, I need to do some shopping and my kids need to be with grandma for a few hours, but grandma\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0speak English, so I teach my big son some important words that can help to communicate with grandma.<\/p>\n

The most useful word was \u201cquiero\u201d, because he said to grandma\u2026 \u201cquiero\u2026\u201d and he takes her hand and shows her what he wants. So grandma understands what he wants, in that way they can begin communicate and interchange some words.<\/p>\n
